We had intended to run a Juniors Indoor League in the Spring of '08, but due to lack of signups the TJIL was canceled (updated March 5, '08). Below is what we were trying to accomplish and we hope to create this offering again in the future.

TUC is pleased to announce it will be hosting a NEW Juniors Indoor League in 2008! This is a 5-week league strictly for Junior-aged players, TUC members who are 18 years of age in 2008 or younger. We recommend this league for players 15-18 years old. There will not be any skill clinics or warm-up games involved - the league will consist solely of league games with a round robin and playoff format.

TJIL games are 6-ON-6 speed-point games which go by our TUC Indoor Rules. Speed point uses a no-pull format, where the disc is set on the ground exactly where it was scored and the opposing team can resume play immediately.... subs are on the fly at mid-field. All players register as an individual, and our captains/convenor will assign everyone to a team based on gender and balanced skill level. No team entries are permitted, although you can request to play with someone for carpooling/travel purposes.

Cost to participate in this League will be $50 per player and THE FEE AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDES YOUR 2008/2009 TUC JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP! This will make you a Junior Member for the remainder of 2008 and early part of 2009, making you eligible to participate in other TUC offerings and take advantage of our membership benefits. Registration for this league will open in early February.

TJIL Details

Junior-aged individuals may register for the Toronto Juniors Indoor League, which is a 6-on-6 CO-ED league offering open to all skill levels. Recommended for 15-18 year olds. Games are played on indoor turf fields at the Downsview Hangar.

Divisions: 1 Division, balanced teams

Dates: Thursdays from March 6 to April 3 (5 weeks)

Game Times: Games will run from 7:00pm to 8:10pm.

Location: Downsview Hangar (located at Downsview Park near Keele & Sheppard).

Cost: $50 per player - includes your TUC Junior Membership Fee! ($25 value)

Registration for TJIL will open in early February. In order to register you must create a username and password for the website, then complete your profile. Once this is complete you can visit the Registration section of the website and register for TJIL when it becomes available.
