Looking for a Women's Touring team for 2012? You've come to the right place! Toronto generally supports several Women's teams competing at tournaments in eastern Canada, the US northeast, and beyond. In 2011 there are three Toronto women's touring teams: Capitals, Lotus, Lily.

Capitals 2011
Capitals’ vision: to further develop Ontario’s strong women’s ultimate system by continuing to develop elite players in Ontario.
Capitals 2011 goal: to build a strong women’s team to win CUC 2011 and secure a bid to represent Canada at 2012’s world championships, while at the same time working towards a good performance at USA Ultimate’s 2011 national championship
Team Structure: This year’s roster includes 11 players from Toronto and 11 players from Ottawa. The roster was selected from an extremely competitive tryout process which drew players from Toronto, Ottawa and surrounding cities.
Leadership: Capitals 2011 will be led through the summer by Kaitlyn (“Hoodie”) Lovatt and Kristin (“Rooks”) Laurin from Toronto, and by Danielle Fortin and Kate Werry from Ottawa.
Commitment: Practices: 2x per week –Tuesdays and Thursdays
Practice Weekends: June 11-12 (Ottawa), July 9-10 (Toronto)
Tourneys:
- TUF – May 14-15
- Boston Invite – June 25-26
- No Borders/Regionals – July 16-17
- Colorado Cup – July 30-31
- CUC – August 11-14
Fall Series: Capitals will be attending USA Ultimate’s national championship in the fall. Players are not required to play Capitals in the summer in order to be considered. Applications for Capitals will become available toward the end of the summer. Team selection and leadership will follow the same format as previous years. This year, the fall season will likely entail flying to two tournaments, as well as driving to sectionals, regionals, and practice weekends.

Lotus Ultimate 2011
Lotus vision – to further develop Ontario’s strong women’s ultimate system by continuing to develop elite players in Ontario.
Lotus 2011 goal – build an elite-level women’s team to attend and medal at the Canadian Ultimate Championships in Ottawa in 2011.
Leadership
Lotus will be lead by Lisa Di Diodato, Mandy Wintink, Meredith MacNaughton, and Nat Fitzgerald.

Lily Ultimate 2010
Lily’s vision – to support and cultivate women’s Ultimate system by continuing to develop and instill confidence in intermediate players in Ontario with the intention and potential advancement onto elite teams.
Lily’s 2010 goal – to build a strong women’s team to attend and perform well at CUC in Sherbrooke, QC
Team Structure: Lily will carry a roster of 18 - 20 ladies.
Leadership and Selection Committee: Lily will be selected by Bonnie Lee, Anita Verma and Leya Duigu with the help of the women from Lotus.
Commitment: Practices: Mandatory twice a week – Tuesdays and Thursdays w/ optional weekend fitness sessions. Practice Weekend: TBD
Lily is looking to attend the following tournaments:

- Jazzfest – Montreal, July
- Regionals – XX, July

Costs: Estimated cost for the season is approximately $300 including jerseys; not including travel, accommodations and additional Lily gear.
