Looking for a Women's Touring team for 2012? You've come to the right place! Toronto supports several Women's teams competing at tournaments in eastern Canada, the US northeast, and beyond. Toronto is the home to three competitive women's touring teams: Capitals (Team Canada in 2012 which consists primarily of players from Toronto and Ottawa), Lotus (Toronto's top competitive team) and Lily (Toronto's competitive-development team).

The Ultimate Experience Women's Club members (Lotus, Lily) are pleased to announce they will be holding tryouts for their teams in 2012.
Tryouts will be held
April 20th @ Cherry Beach from 8pm-10pm
April 22nd @ St. Mike’s from 5pm-8pm
April 27th @ Cherry Beach from 9pm-11pm

Capitals 2012 (Team Canada)
Vision: To be the best women's team in the World.
Since 2005, elite female Ultimate athletes from Toronto and Ottawa have come together as Capitals to further develop Ontario Women's Ultimate. At the 2011 CUC Championships, Capitals won the bid to select the Canadian Women's team that will attend WUGC 2012 in Sakai, Japan!

Tryout Process: Applications were due on December 31st, 2011. Tryouts will occur throughout the spring and the final roster will be announced April 25, 2012.

Lotus Ultimate 2012
Lotus Mandate: To build on the cohesiveness of the 2011 season and to be the best Toronto women's team to compete at CUC and the USAU series.
Team Structure: The Lotus 2012 roster will carry 22-25 players.
Selection Committee & Leadership: The leadership of 2011 (Lisa Di Diodato, Mandy Wintink, Meredith MacNaughton and Nat Fitzgerald) will select the 2012 roster.
Meredith MacNaughton & Nat Fitzgerald will return to captain Lotus in 2012. They will be supported by various leadership roles which will be appointed once the team is finalized.

All tryouts will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Please bring water, cleats, a dark jersey and a light jersey. We will be charging a one-time $20 tryout fee to recoup the costs of the turf fields.
Commitment: Lotus will practice twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (mandatory). Additional fitness training will occur on weekends, as well as two potential practice weekends (likely one in late May/early June and another in July). Lotus will also be looking to compete in the USAU fall series (additional fall tryout to occur after the summer season).

Lily Ultimate 2012
Lily’s Mandate: To support and cultivate the women’s ultimate system by continuing to develop and instill confidence in competitive players in Ontario with the intention and potential advancement onto elite teams.
Lily’s 2012 Goal: To build a strong women’s team that will qualify and attend CUCs in 2012 in Victoria, BC.
Team Structure: Lily will carry a roster of 18 - 20 ladies.
Selection Committee and Leadership : The Lily leadership of 2011 (Sunayna Gupta, Jeanette Quach & Stephanie Salerno) and 2010 (Bonnie Lee, Anita Verma & Leya Duigu) are committed to assisting with the selection of the team for 2012.
Tryout Process: Lily tryouts will be held in tandem with Lotus. Please see the Lotus Tryout Process above for dates, location and tryout forms.
Commitment: Lily will hold mandatory practices twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with optional weekend fitness sessions. Practice weekend TBD.
