Help SAVE WATERFRONT PARKLAND
From MPM Christine Irving:
Your Voice Counts!
Toronto is covering precious green WATERFRONT PARKLAND on Lakeshore Blvd. West near the Humber River. This parkland will become a private gravel PARKING LOT during events at the Palais Royale for the duration of a 15 year licensing agreement. Help STOP the immediate destruction of waterfront parkland.
We NEED your help in presenting Mayor Miller with signatures no later than May 5, 2006. PLEASE HELP by going to the following link, signing the petition and forwarding this the link or this email to as many friends as possible.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/lakeshore/
We are trying to get at least 500 signatures by 7PM this evening for an advanced meeting with Mayor Miller tomorrow. Signatures and assistance will help tremendously tomorrow . We are now at 377 signatures as of 11AM today.
You do not have to live in Toronto but you do have to live in Ontario as the waterfront belongs to all of us who visit downtown Toronto.
