Chapter 8: 1980s Hiatus

Just like the 80s, chapter 8 is a blurry montage of bad hair metal bands, Milli Vanilli Ice, Reaganomics, wood paneled station wagons, the Yugo, overteased hair Aquanetting a hole in the ozone, Geezer Cutter quitting the band, Hozzy Hodsbourne going solo, getting drunk, and punching Neil Diamond in the mouth, watching Ian "Bone" Solo getting frozen in carbonite and being delivered to Chadba The Hutt while his friend Lando DIprissian takes over his spot beside Chewie, watching Marisa "Kim" Harttrell slide into the role of perky cadet, Karen Thomson, in Powiese Academy (a role which was originally written for Genevieve Daigle Bujold, who would later star in David Cronenberg's 1988 classic psychological body horror film, Dead Ringers), and approximately 10 hazy years of other events. In the world of Black Agath, the high/lowlights were the construction of a Stonehenge way too big to fit into most stadiums and the auditioning of Michael Bolton for lead singer. Black Agath hated the 80s...

The Ongoing History of Black Agath
Chapter 9: The 90s

The 90s started much better for Black Agath as Geezer Cutter rejoined the band and made peace with the other original band members, other than Hozzy Hodsbourne, and their 1992 album, Dehugeinator, made the top 50 charts in the US.

Then things fell apart again. Geezer joined Hozzy in the "farewell" tour and pissed off the other members of the band. They tried writing and recording and touring but the magic was sadly missing.

The band's health and fitness consultant, Marianne "Faithful" Perko was finally tired of the fact that the band was neither healthy nor fit and quit, eventually finding a new challenge whipping the slackers of the band Limp Iskric into shape. While on a tour of the Phillipines, the band was able to hire her replacement, Alyne Alucena.

On January 1, 1990 the band's resident tantric advisor, Matthew "Sweet" Denton, also took a leave of absence in order to join Sting in his decade long tantric orgasm. He was replaced on the staff by former Marine Drill Sargent, Norman "Schwarzkopf" Lew.

In addition, the band were able to upgrade their travel booking artificial intelligence (codenamed Max "Headroom" Tomashevsky) to a new robot named V.I.N.CENT ("Vital Information Necessary CENTralized") Poon. V.I.N.CENT's programmer, Polly Yung, was also hired as there was no way anyone on the band could handle coding and playing rock and roll...and getting drunk...and having way too much sex...

Undaunted by the demise of the Max Headroom AI project, its programmer, Jill Elliot, went on to develop the world's first open source operating system, Jillux, which was unfortunately stolen by Finnish-American hacker, Linus Torvalds.
