Dec 11th, 2017 – Entry 8: The end of an Era

Dear Diary,

Last week I learned the hard way that "not a handler" may possibly apply to me. Playing against Patrick's team and being influenced by BC's hucks I thought "hey that doesn't look too hard." 6 throw aways later I learned that they are not as easy as they look. I started the season aiming for the top of the assist ladder but the way things are going i'll be giving darrel/BC/Kramer a run for the TA title instead. I'm learning that unless you're HoDuchen and can throw to the legend know as Ojo then throwaways and assists tend to correlate.

I also learned my team was not a fan of my throws when I was told I should probably cut more to be more useful on the field. They didn't like my 0/3 completion rate on my hucks. At the very least no one can say Lindsay doesn't listen to the team, as she went out and got us Denton to ensure that I would stop handling.

Dear Diary,

the Trade deadline rapidly approaches and teams are in a scramble to finalize that perfect roster going into the playoffs. Will I be able to return the team to it's former TC glory and bring back Wednesday Night date nights or will we go back to the era of luscious locks and dashing good looks?

FINAL POST

Dear Diary,

Today is a day to reflect. A day to look back on the memories made in this beautiful thing called TPL.

Oh what ride it has been, feels like it was yesterday that everyone said shumuh! to drafting TC legend Huang in the second round only to see him go round 1 the following season. look whos laughing now! Am I right Huang?

Then that time where we had the beautiful locks of Galloway distracting our entire team... Those were the days. Haven't seen that guy in a while i'm guessing he is off on some exotic modelling gig for Pantene. Luckily for us we were able to replace his flow with DSB's equally perfect flow.

How about when we had both Adina and DSB on the team, we struggled with figuring out who was who from the back because obviously the only way to distinguish people is by their hair. That was awkward. basically had to do a duel for a spot on the team since there was only room for one set of luscious locks.

To be honest i'm not sure how everyone didn't request a trade. Putting up with me on a weekly basis is no easy task. (besides Lindsay who made that choice on her own, still trying to figure out the reason on that one. Some say its my dashing good looks or awesome ultimate skills that won her over but I guess we will never know). Props to Audrey and Allan for being the ones to put up with me the longest although i'm pretty sure they both secretly hated me at times.

Ahh such good times i'm gonna miss them all diary. Even the times we agreed to never speak of again. Like that time Lindsay was away and I told the entire team to do whatever they wanted. Jeff Chik decided that meant he could throw chicken wings (still waiting for this to happen just don't tell Lindsay).

It was a ton of fun and I hope everyone enjoyed their time playing or subbing with our team. Besides that one game we are to never speak of. If you were there you know the one (Also happens to be another game lindsay was away. Starting to sense a trend here).

Went from 1-4 to 5-4 to end the regular season. Taking the will be champs (this is my prediction) Slater Kramer to a one point game. Gotta say not to bad of an inaugural season of GMing.
