Summer Teen Programs and Leagues


Summer Teen Instructional Program  |  Summer Teen HAT League

All players, age 18 and under (recommended 14-18 for Teen divisions) and of any skill level, are invited to participate in TUC's co-ed Summer Programs and Leagues. All players must be registered as a 2017 TUC Youth Member first and provide a signed waiver to the office or coach(es) before participating.


Summer Teen Instructional Program Details

The curriculum will be adapted to the age, skill levels and number of players; offering different groups within each individual program. The goals of this program are: (i) to have fun; (ii) to learn Spirit of Game; and (iii) to improve individual skills and team strategies. Experienced volunteer coaches lead each and every session which will entail both a mix of coaching and lessons, as well as organized game situations and scrimmages. 

The Summer Teen Program for 2017 will run on various weeknight evenings at the locations listed below, beginning the week of May 23rd and running weekly until the last week of August. Registration is for a single night/location, but players may register/pay for multiple sessions as well, space permitting. We will also have a Summer Teen Program Playoff Tournament for ALL participants at a central location on a weekend at the end of the season (TBA).

Dates: 15 weeks of play (end of May - end of August)
Time: 6:45 - 8:30 pm (or until sunset)
Format: Co-ed Instructional Program with lessons and game-play
Level of Play: All skill levels are welcome

Summer Teen HAT League Details

NEW for 2017!! The Summer Teen HAT League will offer an organized setting for teens to experience pure Ultimate game-play. Teams will be created, schedules set, scores kept and standings tallied. All games are 7-on-7 Co-ed games (4:3 or 3:4 gender ratio) with the game ending once one team hits 17 points (or sun-down) (same rules apply as Summer Adult Leagues)Experienced volunteer coaches lead each and every team with some instruction but mostly supervision over the game-play. 

The Summer Teen HAT League for 2017 will run on Wednesday evening at Monarch Park, beginning the week of May 24th and running weekly until September 6th. The season will culminate in a Summer Teen HAT League Playoff Tournament for ALL teams in conjunction with the Summer Adult League Finals @ Sunnybrook Park (date TBA).

Dates: Runs from Wednesday, May 24 to Wednesday, August 30 (15 weeks); Wednesday, September 6 will be held for a 'rain-date'
Game Times: Games will run from 7:00 - 8:55 pm
Location: Monarch Park (all games)
Format: 7-on-7 Co-ed (League Format). Ratio is 4:3 male:female or 3:4 male:female

Youth Registration

Registering for Youth Programs

You must be a TUC Member to participate in our Youth Programs. Select the 2017 TUC Youth Membership and get registered as a TUC Youth Member. Cost is $35 and includes your eligibility to play in any TUC Youth Program or League throughout the year (with league fees), free TUC membership disc, free TUC LAYOUT e-newsletter, and free TUC member discounts (like discounted VC Ultimate gear).

After registering for your TUC Youth Membership you will then need to register as an individual for the program/league you would like to participate in. You are welcome and encouraged to participate in more than one night during the season but you will need to complete a seperate registration for each program you wish to participate in. If you have any problems registering please email admin@tuc.org.

Youth players must have a parent or guardian sign the TUC Youth Waiver form and submit it to TUC, to be eligible to play. A 2017 Youth Waiver form must be completed legibly and submitted to TUC.

Furthermore, TUC has a Juniors Participation Policy that must be adhered to by all Youth players.
