Do you fell lost on the field? Need to sharpen your skills? The Toronto Ultimate Club will be hosting 2 more indoor clinics this winter for all players looking to improve their game play. Both clinics will be taking place at the newly domed field at Downsview Park with an Intermediate/Advance clinic slated for February 12th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM and with the second clinic being a more advanced one taking place on March 11th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
If you’ve just started playing or have played some league and are looking for some coaching to help you improve or even just started touring, these clinics are for you as players of all levels can benefit from it. Unlike the previous indoor clinics these clinics are more focused on game play than actual disc skills. So it’s recommended that you feel comfortable throwing a disc and have some knowledge of the game (though it’s not necessary). Our goal is to create a fun, supportive and un-intimidating environment where all participants can learn some new tools to improve their game and hopefully pass on to their teammates.
Intermediate/Advance Indoor Clinic @ Downsview Park
Date: February 12, 2012 Location: Downsview Park Dome Time: 1:30PM to 3:30 PM (2 Hours) Topics to be covered:
- Throwing: Hammers and Scoobers (when and when not to use them)
- Offensive Strategy (Vertical stack review, Horizontal and split stack, Dump & Swing)
- Defensive Strategy (Switching and communicating, defensive positioning)
Advance Indoor Clinic @ Downsview Park
Date: March 11, 2012 Location: Downsview Park Dome Time: 1:30PM to 3:30 PM (2 Hours) Topics to be covered:
- Zone Defense
- Zone Offense
Cost: $20 per TUC Member per session ($35 for both), $25 for NON-TUC Members
