2005 AGM - A Grand Success

On Wednesday October 26th, in room 3B at the SAO building, TUC held it's 2005 AGM. Always an exciting evening in which your Board along with any attending members approve the audited financial statements for the previous year. Approval is also sought for that years AGM's minutes. The club appoints the auditors for 2005 along with a review of budgetary concerns and club/league highlights through to date in 2005. The final piece of business is to vote in new board members for a 2 year term.
First lets review who departed - Earlier in the year Jim Lim stepped down after many years of dedication to the club, Erin Dwyer stepped down after 1 year and Daryl Chow, Barry Goldlist, Jason Lansdowne, Dean Ruenke and Christine Tibor completed their 2 year terms. Joining us for new 2 year terms are Derek Baxter for his second tour of duty, Sara Beheshti, Robert Camp, Sean Evans, Alison Fletcher and Andrew Hunter. For those that are leaving the board, thanks for your dedication and hard work, the club is indebted to you. As for our new and returning board members thanks for stepping forward and honouring us with your time and dedication to the club and the sport. These six new board members will join Rob Botman, Stepahne Levac, Kirk Nylen and Rene Tratch as your board for the balance of 2005 and 2006.

New Winter Indoor Ultimate Sessions at the Hangar

The winter season runs from Monday, January 9th until Thursday, April 20th. TUC is operating indoor on 3 nights.

Monday Recreational Men's & Women's League - from 7 to 12 PM
Tuesday Recreational Co-ed League - from 11 to 12 PM
Thursday Recreational Co-ed League - from 7 to 12 PM

The Thursday Co-ed League SOLD OUT as part of the fall indoor registration and the balance earlier this week. In response to this overwhelming demand, we've been able to acquire some more space at the Hangar to offer single gender leagues on Monday and more Co-ed for Tuesdays. Registration for the single gender leagues is already open. You can register as an individual, an individual suggesting a group of people you prefer to play with and or as a team. Registration for the Co-ed session on Tuesday night opens up on November 1st. Similarly as above you can register as an individual, an individual suggesting a group of people you prefer to play with and or as a team.
Even though some of these are late time slots we've tried to make it as attractive as possible through the price point, which is only $110 for a 15 week session as opposed to $175 for the sold out Thursday session. Remember these are also 60 minute games as opposed to 75 minute games on the Thursday.
