How to Register

Before getting into this page, we expect that you've read the New Players Welcome page and created a profile on the site as per the Joining the Club page. If you're planning to participate in TUC leagues or other offerings restricted to TUC members, you should also have learned how to get your membership on the Becoming a Member page, making you eligible to play in leagues throughout the year!

Your next step depends on what your plans are.

Play in a League

Remember that all TUC leagues require that you be a TUC member before you can play. However, purchasing your membership is only the first step; additional fees apply for each league. Because each league is self-financing, the cost varies per league. Registration for some leagues is on a team basis (although these leagues often also offer "hat" teams formed from individual registrations), while other leagues offer only individual registration. Details can be found by following the various links in the "TUC Players" menu.

  • If you will be playing with a team that somebody else (i.e. a captain) is running, your registration process is done! Let the captain know that you are "in the system", and they can add you to their team roster (you'll get a confirmation email when they do so). You'll be expected to pay part of the team fee directly to the captain.
  • If you will be captaining a team, proceed to the registration instructions. You'll provide the team name as part of the registration process, and build your roster after that. You will be responsible for covering the team fee (registration is only complete with full payment), and can collect that back from your teammates.
  • If you don't have a team to play with and want to join a hat team, or if the league you will be playing in is purely by individual registration, proceed to the registration instructions. Depending on the registration/league, you may be given options like your preferred level of play or someone that you want to play with.

Play in a Tournament

Tournament registration options are much like the league options above.

  • If you will be playing with a team that somebody else is running (i.e. a captain), your registration process is done! Let the captain know that you are "in the system", and they can add you to their roster (you'll get a confirmation email when they do so). You'll be expected to pay part of the tournament fee (if applicable) directly to the captain.
  • If you will be captaining a team, proceed to the registration instructions. You'll provide the team name as part of the registration process, and build your roster after that. (The specific registration will let you know whether your players need to be paid TUC members; all players will be required to have site profiles.) You will be responsible for covering the tournament fee (if applicable), and can collect that back from your teammates.
  • If you don't have a team to play with and want to join a hat team, or if the tournament you will be playing in is purely individual registration, proceed to the registration instructions. Depending on the registration, you may be given options like your preferred level of play or someone that you want to play with.

Participate in a Clinic or Event

Clinics, events, and other registration options will all have their own requirements. Some are only available to TUC members; some are discounted for TUC members; some are open to non-TUC members; some are even free for everyone! Proceed to the registration instructions and follow the specifics for whatever you are registering for.

Registration Instructions

When you are ready to proceed with registration, our online registration wizard will guide you through the necessary steps. To save time, you can register for several things (including your membership) and pay for them all at once; this also saves the Club transaction fees.

Note that registrations are not considered confirmed until payment is received. If you are paying online, you should pay promptly to ensure that your place is guaranteed. If you are paying offline, contact the office immediately after your registration is otherwise complete, and they can reserve your place for a couple of days to allow the cheque to arrive.

Online Payments

We accept VISA, MasterCard and INTERAC® Online payments.

Offline Payments

In order to have the most complete and accurate information in our membership database, even if you cannot use the online payments system (i.e. no credit or debit card accepted by our payment provider), you must still go through the online registration process as above. To pay by cheque, when you reach the Checkout page, select Pay Offline and follow the instructions.

Problems? Questions?
