Scally's Cup

Recap

The inaugural Scally’s Cup at BMO Field was an outstanding success. The event featured top players from our league nights vying it out for the title of Scally’s Cup Champion. Players were nominated by their peers for their outstanding play during the season and here is a list of the All-Stars. We had some great prizing from Scallywag’s, Daredevil Discs, and Boreal Journeys Dog-Sled Dog Kennel. Thanks to Scallywags for all of their support at this event (including game shirts for all participants) and throughout the season!

Congrats to the Monday Night Team who captured the Competitive Division crown and the Scally’s Cup! For their efforts each player received $40 Scally’s Dollars and a cool Scallywag’s disc. See what their Spirit MVP won below.

Scally's Cup MVP
Megan McNally

Boreal Journeys Sled Dog Kennel is owned and operated by former TUC member, Paul Amano. As a former captain in the league, he worked hard to ensure that players on his team were enjoying playing in the league and were contributing to a spirited atmosphere in all games they played. Although Paul has moved from Toronto to start an adventure tourism operation in the northern parts of the province, he wishes to continue to contribute to the TUC community by celebrating spirited play. This year, Paul sponsored a Scally’s Cup spirit prize of a five day dog sledding experience for 2 people. The experience includes accommodations at the bed and breakfast style lodging at Boreal Journeys; all meals from a menu that celebrates locally produced foods; and all the instruction and guidance needed to become a self-sufficient musher before heading out for a culminating overnight trip in the storied landscape of north western Ontario. As well, in honour of TUC’s continued commitment to spirited play, any TUC members wishing to take part in a trip at Boreal Journeys will receive a $100 discount. To find out more about Boreal Journeys Sled Dog Kennel, visit www.borealjourneys.com (coming soon), or phone Paul toll free at 1-877-933-4224.
