Mars Meet Venus 2014

Founded in 2003, Mars, Meet Venus (MMV) seeks to be a fun and friendly touring team, offering players a chance to play in a substantial number of tournaments and attend weekly practices where individual and team skills are developed.
Coming off a seriously fun season in 2013, MMV is looking to up our game and have even more fun in 2014. Unlike in past seasons, this season's MMV practice and tournament roster will be by invitation only. I.e. you must successfully try out for the team and be invited to join us.
MMV will be holding tryouts on May 3, 8 - 10 AM at Downsview and May 6, 7 - 10 pm at Monarch Park. You can register for the try outs here: http://www.playwithspirit.com/tryouts.
It is much preferred that interested players attend both try outs, but in the event that you cannot, let us know and some other accommodations may be possible.
Cost is $15 to cover the turf field rentals and should be paid online through the registration process, as we will not be able to accept cash at the try outs.
For 2014 MMV will be practicing once a week on Tuesday nights, and plans to attend the following tournaments (subject to change):
TUF - Toronto, May 10-11
Rousseau Lake, May 31 - June 1
Summer Experience - Toronto, June 7-8
Britannia Beach - Ottawa, June 22
Cobourg Beach - Cobourg, July
Spirit of the Highlands - Fergus, July 19-20
Unknown Legends - Hamilton, August
Stall Fall - Guelph, September
Oktoberfest - Waterloo, October
Looking for a chance to improve your ultimate skills via formal practice and tournament play? Looking to play and party at tournaments beyond TUC mid-season and TUC playoffs? Not interested/able to attend Regionals/Nationals but want an ultimate touring fix? MMV may be the team for you. We'd love to see you come out to our try outs.
Interested players should be prepared to attend the majority of Tuesday night practices and the majority of the tournaments listed above.
