Backdraft 2015 - Durham + Peterborough, Mixed (This Sat!)

Backdraft is back and looking to build on it's great 2013 and 2014 seasons.

In 2013, the team paired up with the Bull Dogs to form Alliance and finished 11th at Nationals in Vancouver.

In 2014 the team formed a new partnership with Peterborough's Smoke, and became Backdraft.

At 2014 Nationals, Backdraft went 4-1-0 in round robin play. After defeating Raft (Ottawa) in the quarter finals, the team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Crash (Waterloo) on universe point in the semi-finals. Backdraft went on to place 4th in the country.

Thanks to the strong showing at Nationals, Backdraft has been invited to participate in the 2015 Pan Am Ultimate Championships in Mexico (November 18-21 2015). For more info: http://www.pauc2015.com/

Backdraft plans on participating in the following tournaments (some as the full backdraft roster, and some as a partial/split squad)

May-Soggy Bottom (Guelph)
May- TUF May (Toronto)
May- May Day (Waterloo)
June- Comedy of Errors (Montreal)
July- No Borders (Ottawa)
June- Summer Experience (Toronto)
July- OUC Regional Qualifying Tournament (location TBD)
Mid-August- CUC National Tournament (Winnipeg, Manitoba)
End August- USA Ultimate fall series (Upper New York)
November- Pan Am Ultimate Championships- (Puerto Morelos, Mexico)

This season the goal is a CUC National Title, and the chance to represent Canada in 2016 in London England.

Tryout Dates

Durham Tryouts will be held at the Oshawa Civic.

Had a couple pm's asking about practices - Backdraft does practice Tuesday nights in Ajax (wayyyy closer than Oshawa), and the Peterborough squad practices on Monday's (in Peterborough).
