NoBS Ultimate is back in 2016!

Coming off our fourth season NoBS ultimate found it’s unique philosophy was a successful idea. We are looking to make a few tweaks and come back even stronger in 2016.

NoBS is a Toronto-based mixed team with a unique make up. We believe that ultimate can be played with no BS. Just fun experienced players who will go out on the field and just know what to do. We expect to play mostly local tournaments, and Regionals and Nationals. We are looking to field a roster of players who fit our ideals and who are looking for a team where they can’t commit to a rigorous practice schedule but are ready to play some serious ultimate without the BS.
The team philosophy is unique and something that makes ultimate more enjoyable while putting out a great team on the field. We are looking to add some more veteran savvy with a mix of youth and speed. We believe we can put in a very strong team in 2016 and improve our previous Nationals results.

A little more about NoBS in 2016:
1. We are looking to use Wednesday night competitive league as a practice where we can work on plays in a game setting. We will work on different strategies as well as putting players in a position to improve skills as needed. Note: This is a change from Thursday nights in previous years where the competition wasn’t strong enough.
2. We will also be looking to host a few more practices during the year as required.
3. We will be hosting tryouts this year. Details to come in the coming weeks.
4. We are tentatively looking at the following Touring schedule for 2015:
Soggy Bottom Bowl - April 30/May 1 - Guelph
TUF – May 7/8 – Toronto, ON
Regionals – July 9/10 – Location TBD
CUC Mixed – August 18-21 – Hamilton, ON

Likely 1 - 3 of the following (or other local tournaments) depending on interest when final roster determined.
May Day – May 28/29 – Waterloo, ON
Unknown Legends – June 25-26 – Hamilton, ON
TUC Summer Experience - TBD - Toronto, ON
No Borders – July 23/24 – Ottawa, ON

Less than 1 week until NoBS tryouts. Looks like there will be a lot of talent at tryouts next Saturday. Please fill out the tryout form if interested in NoBS and you plan to attend. It helps so we can plan based on the expected numbers.
