Posing as someone else
First uptown tornonto then downtown, east, china town, cabbage town. All of Ultimate in the GTA will be mine! Ha ha ha ahhhhhhh.... I am spent.

Very interesting. This is the first time that I'm logged in as someone else. I also use Firefox. I have the option to be logged on all the time. I started this session as someone else (not sure who - how do I know, my Board style was not my own). I then became me (because the colour scheme that I usually use appeared) and while navigating, presto, I became BC. As much as I like BC (he's a nice guy), I would rather be me.
There's no one like me!

Damn! This worked for Dorothy. Why won't it work for me?!

I spent a couple hours the other day poking around the phpbb.com forums to see if I could find anything related. There is a new version out, but our problem doesn't appear to be on the list of changes, though there was something about regular users becoming administrators. Hmm, come to think of it, has anyone found themselves logged in as anyone who isn't at least a moderator of a forum? I am, and I think BC is. I don't have any idea who else might be moderating all of the various limited-access forums. (Didn't think to check, the time I found myself as Danny.)
If that's not it, there are enough people out there using this software that it seems somebody else should have run into the problem by now, so perhaps it is site-specific. Danny did some minor mods to change the names of some profile fields, etc. but I guess that there wouldn't have been any logic changes, just config files and/or string constants. (That sound you just heard was the glazing-over of hundreds of non-programmer pairs of eyes.)

Someone was logged on as me once, and I don't think that I have mod access to any forum. Unless someone didn't tell me something.
Since this thread was started, I haven't been logged on as anyone else. It seems completely random, and I can't reproduce it or figure out how to reproduce it

That is a true statement... I question the identity of the person who posted that.
Got to jet, Bill needs me again.

Damn, another perfectly good theory destroyed by facts. Ain't it always the way.

This is certainly stange.
I don't know who i am logged in as here, this is Pary, and my whole colour scheme just changed on me and i can't see the private forums....
I was wondering if it was just a PC thing, but apparently not. I am on a Mac, and using Firefox...

It's not me again. Why does this keep happening to me, well not me? I'm confused. My identity has been taken from me and I can't get it back.

I'm sad to say that my high release backhand is pretty floaty. Guess I need to throw it more in games to practice? My scoober is hot though.

Boy, I'm hungry. Hungy for loooove. You know, I'm reading this forum and thinking to myself, "How can I lower myself to out do all of the other slags?" Well, come to think of it, I can't. But I sure can tear up the dance floor. Next time you see me, yell out "Saturday Night Fever!!" and I'll surely bust into some moves. I'll even buy you a beer if you yell it out! No kidding... I don't need to be hung over the next morning, so just drink all of my beer for me. I'll gladly pay for it.
Actually, you know what? I can't really play that well, so I might as well get boozed. Maybe DC and I can get boozed together considering that we both pretty much suck *chipmunks*.
BC, you're better than me. But don't let it go to your head. Whoever GregS is, I love your shorts. And that Lennox guy... whoever said that Wally is a sport figure? Lame.
On further reflection... I quit. This dog-eats-frisbee-game is a bit too tough. People in the park are nosy. I wish they would stop eating my cookies.
I like strong boys.
Don't touch my pink thong. No, I don't drive a speed boat.
Want some gum?

I was BC for a brief moment. It was over before I could even throw a hammer.

BC seems to be everybody's whipping boy. What, does he live on this BBS??

I also wish i were someone else.
I barely know what i'm thinking, doing, or saying most of the time.
well, unless someone is whispering "shouldn't he know how to throw a flick by now?" or posting "man, that guy's posts are confusing, nonsensical and/or annoying." Then I know i was probably throwing a flick or posting on the bbs.
