Where to buy cleats?

Postby slaxys » Fri May 11, 2012 10:28 am

It's almost the start of the summer season and I need to get a new pair of cleats. Does anyone know of any stores with a wider variety of football/american football cleats than sportchek and national sports?

Thanks

There is a store by Vaughan Mills, on Rutherford Road - In 2 Sports. It is a soccer store but they have a great selection of high end cleats.

the last few times i've bought cleats i've ordered them from eastbay http://www.eastbay.com/ .

they've got a huge selection, occasional clearance sales, and (finally) a canada-friendly return policy.

You can also try this store, authentic and reasonable price $40 -$60.

The Scarborough branch and Pacific mall has huge selections.

Check it out Jamie. :)

svpsports.ca

Great selection of cleats, excellent prices (a lot under $60). Just got mine today - Nike HyperVenoms for $59.99.

On Queen St West, west of Spadina.

SVPSports doesn't carry many (if any) football cleats right now - maybe in the fall...

Both the one on Queen and the one at Lawrence West Mall have about four or five men's football cleats right now (and even more soccer cleats). This is better than Sportcheck, although they are "older models".

The sizing is kind of a crapshoot, but they do have several in the 8.5-12 range, which should fit most people.

Sportchek is a good place to start. So is the
Nike Store at Vaughan Mills, or any of the Nike outlets.
However, the outlets are a crapshoot. I was at Vaughan Mills a few weeks ago and they had the Alpha pro low for $60, but previous trip they have had nothing.

Eastbay looks good if you know your size. You will get the best election of colours, and decent discount to retail.

Outside the city, the outlets (Adidas, Nike etc) at Cookstown on the 400N and the Lundy's lane outlets in Niagara are pretty great. I'm usually able to pick up two pairs of $200+ (usually soccer) cleats for around $100. Check them out if you can.

I get my cleats, both grass and turf, at the SVP outlet store on Cartwright (near Caledonia and Orfus Rd). Usually good deals, just need a little patience while shopping there.
