Yes. Hopefully tonight, in fact. I've got the new version downloaded, but want to make sure that a database backup is done first, in case things go badly, and backups are one thing we need ITSportsnet to do for us.

Turns out that phpBB has database backup built into the admin interface, so I could have done it myself on Friday. Well, it's done now (details here). Hopefully, this thread can now die a peaceful death.

I've upgraded the software again. I have a theory as to why this is happening, and it's happened to at least one other board out there. I've posted my ideas on the PHPBB support site, and hopefully this will lead to having this bug fixed in an upcoming version. In the meantime, if my theory is correct, I can take manual steps to prevent it from recurring. If it does happen to you again, post here or email me, so that I can keep track of it.

BC taught me everything he knew about Ultimate which I quickly forgot so that I could become an effective player. Especially on defence!

I think the bug definitely gets worse if you change your display settings in your profile- like if I use the 'charcoal2' display setting and hit refresh on the main page, I am pretty much guaranteed to be logged in as whomever is also logged in. Annoyingly, if I try to navigate from the main index, it asks me to log in again.
