Saturday Oct 15.
Looks VERY windy, mighty cold and and still a bit wet!
First up Manitoba vs. Waterloo, Open Division 11:45a.
Next a 1:30p to 3:00p game, McGill vs Guelph, Women's.
Next a 3:15p to 4:45p game. McMaster vs. Western, Open
5:00p to 6:30p, postponed.
The broadcast and the last games postponed until Sunday due to the NASTY weather.


Sunday Oct. 16.
Games at 8:30a and 10:15. Semis at 12:00p, Finals at 2:00p.
Live from Waterloo. Times may be rescheduled due to Saturday's weather. 40kph winds and 60 kph gusts, 8°C and dropping plus a drizzle.

From what I remember...

OPEN
The top three Open teams were all led by a GOAT player. In one semi it was a tight battle between U of T Torontulas and Queens U. Tulas and Thomson McNight of GOAT, down at least a break, maybe two, battling back to force a universe game only to lose to Queens led by GOAT Andrew Carroll.
The other semi had unheralded Manitoba and GOAT's Mark Lloyd cruise to victory which set up the Final match between Manitoba and Queens, Carroll and Lloyd.
Manitoba because of geography and other factors didn't get many chances to practice together and didn't enter either the CUUEC or the CUUWC earlier this month. Coming to Waterloo as a bit of an unknown, they brought a group of players from the ranks of Winnipeg's Open team General Strike and from their Juniors squads MOFO and DOAP.
Both teams played a hard fought final, but Manitoba was the better team this time and took the victory 15-9!
The weather was improving as the game wore on and the best weather of the whole tournament, (cause it was nasty) arrived just in time for the Open medal presentations.
Spirit Winners were Guelph A

WOMENS
The Finals saw Queens (both Men & Women made Finals), this time versus Western University in a rematch from earlier in the tournament. Playing in some terrible weather conditions there was a lot of huck and pin attempts and in the end it was Queens Paperbag getting the victory in dramatic come from behind fashion. 8-6.
Spirit Winners were Lakehead
