YARRR 2013 Tryouts

YARRR is Durham Region’s top competitive mixed team.

YARRR will be holding tryouts at the Oshawa Civic Turf Field 1 (inside the track) on Saturday April 13 from 6:10pm – 8:10pm and Saturday April 27 from 6:10pm – 8:10pm - rain or shine. We will also be entering a team in the Soggy Bottom Bowl in Guelph as a final tryout to finalize our roster.

The cost for the two tryout dates in April will be $30. Please bring your cash money to the first night of the tryouts as well as plenty of water, a disc, and a black and a white jersey. Please show up 30 minutes beforehand to get ready and organized. We will be doing roughly an hour of drills and an hour of scrimmage.

This season YARRR will be aiming to qualify for Nationals (CUC), which will be in Vancouver BC from August 15-18.

YARRR will be entering approximately one tournament per month and will be holding mandatory practices on Tuesday nights starting May 1, and entering a team in the TUC Wednesday night competitive division to put the skills we work on in practice to the test in a real game situation. We expect everyone on the team to commit to both the practices and league games each week. We are looking for dedicated players who will be committed to our team philosophy. We believe that consistent practicing and team development will allow us to achieve our goals.
