New iCal feed of game schedule
Hey folks,
You'll notice a couple new links at the bottom of your team schedule in Leaguerunner. You can now import your games into your personal calendar program using the iCal standard format by clicking the ICAL icon. Some online calendar programs also support auto-synchronizing to a URL (such as HappyTC or Google Calendar), for which you can right click and copy the link address.
Please let me know any issues or suggestions for improvement, either in this thread or via pm or email.
Richard.

Unfortunately, it seems that Google Calendar simply gives the "location" field as a Google Maps query. Not all our fields have a convenient street address that Google Maps can handle, and won't give details such as which field the game is scheduled upon where there are multiple games played at a site.
Of course if someone knows how to feed a map url directly to Google Calendar while not destroying the human-readable location, let me know.

idea: in the location field, provide an actual address or major intersection for the fields (the value in the address field for the field locations) and in the description provide more details like the field name and maybe a link to the TUC field layout

another idea for the game iCal: one feed for all the teams your on (a user calendar instead of a team calendar)
Sometimes people are on more than one team and it would be nice to have all the iCal calendars mashed into one calendar so that we only have to subscribe to one feed (this would also having to remember to add the new team feed at the start of each season).

I second that idea - it's be great to have a personal RSS feed that provided all the games for all teams and tourneys that one is registered in.

Hey Greg, any chance we can get an iCal feed for all the teams that we're on so we don't have to keep adding/removing team iCal feeds. We can click on the "My Games" link on the left hand menu so we see all our games, can we get an iCal feed from it?

This feature is actually 95% done now, but can't be published until some other code is completed to allow us to handle it in a way that doesn't violate the privacy policy. Probably won't happen until summer season is over, but shouldn't be long after that.

And it's done! The nature of this feature requires that personal information be published for anyone that's not logged into the site; otherwise Google, iCal, etc. won't be able to read it. As a result, it is by default not available, and you'll need to edit your preferences to turn this on. This can all be done from your My Games page.
