Phony users

Not to be demanding... but if there is someone floating around with admin rights to this BBS (if I knew exactly whom it was these days I'd message you directly), you may want to remove users who post ads for online pharmacies.

I recently had a couple turn up on the forum over at http://www.playwithspirit.com/fora/

I suspect that they may not even be real people but just automated scripts that are designed to post on phpbb boards.

I've found that if you delete the users, they don't seem to reoccur very often. If you don't, they just keep posting ads at random about every week or so. Not a major inconvience I'll grant, but annoying none-the-less.

I would think these would be suspect as well... although since they joined in May (21st) this year, they haven't posted (yet)...

How about this group from Aug 20-24: sinda, lindasand, sandavot, ahuda, alana, Moneyforclicks, Hair-Simmons and Don-ED, lindadiva, yaana, ajana, Rendemon, dinkon.

In fact, it's a good bet that 95+% of users that have a www address, no team affiliation and zero posts are bogus, although not nearly as annoying as the ones that are posting spam.

A lot of those ones may not be 'active'... so far I've found my board gets spam users occassionally... but only a small percentage seem to activate themselves (meaning they can actually post messages).

I see someone did get rid of at least one of the users. Thanks!
