Dear BBS,
I'm sorry to have to write this but I've left you for a younger flashier BBS. I enjoyed the time we've had togther and will always remember our late nights snuggled by the glow of the monitor. Maybe sometime in the future (during indoor playoffs) we can be friends again, but for now I need my space. Please return my password and logon id.

yours truly,
Charles

Bad poetry

Postby corchard » Mon Nov 28, 2005 2:11 pm

Hello? hello? Is this thing working?

People Please! There must be people without lives out there somewhere that have nothing better to do over a weekend then post meaningless messages on this BBS. Where is the fever? The passion? The pointlessness?

Here is some pretty bad poetry just because there's nothin' else on TV:

How to be a better ultimate Player
Slow, slow I'm so slow.
I could be a pilon,If I weren't so slow
I would be better,if I could throw
and cut and catch, and understand flow.

So I make insults like "your mama's a Ho"
and "accidentally" injure by crushing your toe,
and mess with the scoreboard, adding a point or so
and I step on the disc, so it wobbles for my foe

I make up the rules, adding clauses although,
when argued I carry on, like I'm on a game show
I call silly fouls like I'm drunk on bordeaux
and afterwards hide, becasue I'd rather be a golf pro

You're right.... that is bad poetry! It makes my attempts look merely very bad, instead of truly awful.

You're also right that there's been a deathly silence in here lately. I wonder if Warren lost his internet access?

Oooh I like it! We could have two versions:

The wide open ameture version where we use an aerobi or some other jacked up/motorized disk and the field is the length of the lake.

and the indoor event at the ACC where the mesh goes all the way around the boards. We may have to put in rules about obstruction (otherwise it would end up like WWE).

I'm game where do we sign up?

How about leering? Skulking? Prowling? Those are good ones too.

You should probably stick with the old classics that most people associate with you though: Slow. Uncoordinated. Not-a-handler.

Sorry, the recent dearth of posting on the BBS has embittered me :).

hey, man, i just saw an internet video of a monkey that reminded me of you. i don't remember why. maybe because it was sitting in a tree. or maybe it was because the monkey picks at his rectum, smells his finger, and then throws his arms in the air while falling backwards out of the tree.

yeah, probably one of those two.

I think I know what you're talking about. It's the one where the monkey makes that amazing one-handed, behind-the-back catch as he appears to be falling out of the tree, but is actually cleverly disguising his unbelievable catch from the everpresent talent scouts that follow him around night and day. I can see where the confusion arose.

I was thinking that ogling has always reminded me of warren...

For instance:
Why are Shane and Warren always ogling each other during the Bodhi games?

Chappy.......is that really you posting? I am sensing a conspiracy.

Truth be told....I have oogled Warren in ther past. I was concerned that Warren would drop tartar sauce on the seats of the Mini while he hastily consumed his 3rd consecutive fillet-o-fish sandwich on the road to NB. He's a messy eater......hence the glare.

Yeah, I remember when Shane used to ogle me.... sigh. Of course that was a long time ago when Jabberwocky still existed.... and I mean the real Jabberwocky not these knock off pseudo-jabberwockies that Arthur:ruhtrA is pedalling as the real deal. Getting back to the matter at hand Warren, I filled the void Shane left in my life with Schlitz a long time ago.

I guess I can understand why you were worried Shane, I mean I'm sure the last thing you wanted was for Warren to spill his 'tartar sauce' on the seats... how about a little decorum... you know... what happens in the mini stays in the mini?

So, this thread's been viewed over 1200 times to date. I wonder how many of those people watched my original picture long enough to see the caribou go by?
