Thursday Cherry Beach - 5 teams

Postby gkitch » Thu Apr 09, 2015 8:27 am

There's only 5 teams registered, and tonight one team has a double header. Will each team have an opportunity to play a double-header once during the season?

The BBS is an area for member discussion, not an official communication channel. Questions here are often, but not always, answered; it has always been this way. If you have a specific question about leagues, you should email leagues@tuc.org.
Did you get that thing I sent you?

Hey Kitch,

We'll have each team playing at least one double header throughout the season. Spring league registration is down a bit this year and 5 teams is a bit of an awkward number to work with.

Hi,

Like Greg mentioned, the vast majority of our communications come through e-mail. I agree that BBS presence is an area that TUC staff can improve on and I'll personally see to it that more BBS questions are answered. I would prefer that for most inquires that members sent an e-mail over to admin@tuc.org or leagues@tuc.org

Thanks for the response... Was not trying to call anyone out - it just seems like the communication has been minimal this year.

Of course emailing is the best way to get an answer, but if Kitch had this question, chances are others (me) had it as well.

Even a simple pro-active - welcome to the league, there are X teams so there will be a double header......

This also pertains to what is happening with the summer league.... There was no communication that the number of teams were being reduced (due to field permit availability) and that unlike in previous years - captains who had teams for many years are now stuck on waiting lists.

At the very least some of the content could be updated - included which leagues are currently full, and whether those who are on the waiting list should be looking at alternative days/regions to play.

Haha I didn't take it as a call out. We're hoping a few more permits fall into place before summer starts. It's been a big time transitional year for TUC after losing Jack, Ian and Jason. Combined our current staff has been here less than a year... combined! We're learning as we go but there might be a few small hiccups along the way. We really appreciate your patience here
