Taking Ultimate to the Next Level in 2013

The Rush are set to open the season with a 26 man roster comprised of athletes from all over Ontario. Drawing players from Hamilton, Guelph, Newmarket, Waterloo, Peterborough, Bowmanville, Toronto, and even Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the Rush have a strong core of players heading into the season. A variety of touring teams are represented on the Rush and a few learning curves are expected prior to the opening pull as everyone adapts to new strategies and tendencies. Mainstay Toronto touring programs GOAT, Grand Trunk, and Union, will fuel the core of the Rush roster.

With the summer schedule released, Toronto looks forward to the start of the American Ultimate Disc League season. The Rush will play their first official game on the road against the Washington Breeze on April 20th. After starting the season with two road trips, including four games against their American counterparts, the Rush will eagerly await their home opener on May 4th against the New Jersey Hammerheads. Set to play at University of Toronto’s Varsity Stadium, the Rush boasts one of the best home venues in the AUDL. When the Rush took a community poll regarding their preference, Varsity Stadium was the overwhelming choice. This 5,000 seat venue allows for an intimate experience to get Rush fans right in the game action.

With average ticket prices under $10, the Rush fill a strong need in Toronto for an affordable sporting experience. Whether you want to experience one game or come out all eight home games, there is something for everyone with many different Season Ticket and Flex packages available. When buying a Season package, each ticket counts as a voucher redeemable for any home game during the 2013 season. This allows fans to either attend each game once, or bring a friend with them to select games!
