Monarch Park Beginner Clinic and Open House canacelled

We just received word from the staff at Monarch Park and it turns out that the facility will not be ready for use until the 12th of November. Unfortunately this means that we will have to cancel the planned clinic and open house that was planned on Sunday the 11th. We do apologies and hope to host a possible open house in the future.

Here is the email sent to us by Monarch Park:

Hello from Monarch Park Stadium,

We would like to take this opportunity to provide you with an update on the progress of Monarch Park Stadium. Our 108,000 square foot dome has been inflated. We are currently finishing the installation of the lights and will be cleaning off the track and completing a final grooming of the field by the end of the week. Regrettably, we will not be able to open Friday November 9th as we anticipated. The final inspection of the facility is scheduled for the morning of Monday November 12th. After the inspection is complete, we will open the doors for the first time on Monday evening (Nov 12th, 2012). We would like to thank all user groups for your patience and understanding over the last few weeks.

ROUND 3 of the clinic series begins August 6, 2012

Learn how to play Ultimate Frisbee, the world's fastest growing sport. TUC has a 5 Week Clinic Series for the those newer players to the game - Signup online now! There will be 2 separate levels of Clinic Series, a Beginner/Recreational level and an Intermediate level.

The TUC Clinic Series will run on Monday evenings for 5 weeks, with the first week on August 6th, from 6:30 PM to dusk at Sir Winston Churchill Park.

Intermediate Clinic This Saturday!

The month of June will see the Toronto Ultimate Club run two separate skills clinics in conjunction with our Summer Experience tournament on Sunday June 10th from 11 AM to 1 PM at Sunnybrook Park and before the Great Canadian Ultimate Game on Saturday June 16th from 11AM to 1PM at Sir Winston Churchill Reservoir. These clinics will be geared towards Beginners and recreational players on the 10th and intermediate players on 16th.

The Toronto Ultimate Club will be holding a skills clinic for all levels at Cherry Beach Sports Field on May 6th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Players of all ages, gender and skill levels are invited to register for this event as we will be covering everything from the basics of throwing a disc to advance techniques of man coverage. Come out and learn the game from the top ultimate players in the city.

There will be 3 separate clinic groups, each with a program geared towards a specific level of play:

The Toronto Ultimate Club, along with Without Limits and VC Ultimate, will be holding a skills clinic for women at Cherry Beach Sports fields on April 15, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Women of all ages and skill levels, from the beginner who has never thrown a disc before to the battle hardened veteran, are invited to come out to this unique event. Come learn the game and improve your skills while being taught by the best female Ultimate players in the city (possibly the world), as the ladies from The Capitals (Canada’s Womens Team Representative at the 2012 World Championships) will be providing instructions on how to become a world class ultimate player.

Do you feel lost on the field? Need to sharpen your skills? The Toronto Ultimate Club will be hosting another indoor clinic this winter for all players looking to improve their game play. This clinic will take place at the newly domed field at Downsview Park and is targeted towards advanced level players. This clinic takes place on March 11th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

TUC will be hosting 2 Indoor clinics of various levels in January at Lamport Stadium on Sunday January 15th and 29th. These sessions will be from Beginners on the 15th and Recreational/Intermediate on the 29th. These sessions are ideal for players of all skill levels, especially those newer to the game.
