Catch the Spirit 4v4 Edition, Mar 2, 2023 - A & B Division Registration
The Toronto Ultimate Club hosts the 16th annual Catch the Spirit High School Indoor Ultimate Tournament on Thursday March 2nd at Central Tech Stadium. This celebration of Ultimate emphasizes the Spirit of the Game, skill development, and balanced competition for all teams involved. It is a great opportunity to teach the game of Ultimate and get teams warmed up for the upcoming school season.
The tournament will be held in the bubble at Central Tech Stadium from 9:30am to 4:30pm, the format this year will be 4v4, mixed gender (2:2 male:female). This is played on a smaller 30mx18m field, with 3m deep endzones. Substitions happen quickly between points (no pulls other than at the start of the game).
The format will depend on the total number of teams registered, but we will aim to have each team play 5 x 30 minute games. Registration will commence on Wednesday, Feb 15th on a first come, first served basis. Payment confirms your spot, and we will NOT, under any circumstances, be accepting payment on the day of the event.
All teams will need to fill out the TDSB Out-Of-Season School Form.
This year we will be aiming to run an A and B division on the same day, and teachers/coaches are welcome to sign up multiple 4v4 teams (each must be registered separately.
We are also hoping to run a second indoor tournament, likely in early April.
